I get pisseds everytime I go to Soopers. Sick of seeing "everyday low price" tag on stuff that was half as much not that long ago.

Meat ticks me off the most. Insane.

Yeah I've stopped being super picky (health wise) on dinners, it's just not feasible anymore. I'll just eat healthy throughout the day and work hard at the gym. Speaking of gym, I won't even get started on protein powders.

Good God tell me about it. Between mine and the wife's, we probably have around $400-500 in supplements in the house at any given time. Between proteins, preworkout, BCAAs, etc.
Our solution for grocery costs is to buy all of our meats from the butcher (small local business) and all our produce from the dangers market next to them. Much cheaper and our money is going to local businesses.

I could get you whey protein by the 50lb bag lol we feed it to hogs, as for meat I love being a livestock nutritional consultant so I have many customers I can get beef from last time I bought a side of beef it was 2$ a lb processed it would probably be a lot more expensive like 3-3.50 now but still cheaper than the store

I feel like I'm back in NY the way the prices are going. But for some reason I get a feeling Bloomberg is making money off it...

I've sure noticed! Cans have shrunk as well- some down 2 ounces, some down 3 ounces.
As far as produce goes, Sprouts often runs sales that are half of the grocery stores' prices. This week, Northwest Cherries are 1.98/lb, as opposed to 3.99/lb at Safeway and 3.00/lb at Kings.

I've noticed the price per pound of boneless pork creeping up steadily. I buy the full sized loins at Sam's and cut up chops and get two small roasts for @$25.00; I freeze it or can it. I just don't see the prices going down.

    Daily conversation for us.

Will be moving up our 3 yr timeline for raising more than produce to 1 yr. Birds and bovine start next spring. Hope to use some vacation/holiday time this winter to bag some pork.

You have 2 paychecks. I'm 1 /fixed income. Fortunately we started hand feeding the local fauna, prior to why 2k. Amazing what squirrels pass on to their offspring. Here kitty, pfft.

It is crushing us. Good thing is, I'm losing weight.

This is what happens from all the facts that the census picks up, they distribute the info and the "corporations" know where you live and how much you make, they set up their stores and price according to the income in a captive area. They got us by the balls.

I never fill out a census completely, just that I am me and I live here, they get nothing else.
