I haven't really noticed. Every time I fill the cart up, no matter what I get, it always comes to between $200 and $250. Has for years. I'm starting to think maybe these "extreme couponers" might be on to something.

Costco was $230 today, I could walk in there thinking I'm just going to get lunch for $1.50 and still somehow spend $100. Never fails

    Thanks, Obama!

Pork prices are up because if a virus killing an insane amount of piglets... Feeder pigs are up to 75 instead if the standard 50. I have not bought meat in a couple years ( buy a quarter of a steer and half a pig a year) but I always look at the meat prices to gauge what I am going to pay in the fall

    Stagflation - http://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/stagflation.asp

Wages remain the same, unemployment rises, costs of goods and services go up.

What are some solutions to turn this country around?

    1. Close the southern border.
    2. Get rid of the liberals in government. Liberals aren't necessarily (D) but that is the majority of them.
    3. Make the government much smaller which is only possible by doing 2.
    4. Reduce the entitlements, make them a net not a life choice. SS generally isn't an entitlement, my parents worked and earned the SS they get but we need to dump this program and let workers be responsible for their own retirement.
    5. Expand domestic oil and gas production - this country was built on oil and gas and we can rebuild it using these fuels.
    6. Stop the government subsidies of ethanol, solar, and wind. Solar and wind cannot compete with oil and gas, so they'll go away in the natural cycle of creative destruction, just like they did during the oil boom of the last century. This goes hand-in-hand with 2 and 3. Ethanol uses corn and water ( food products) which drive up the cost of any food products that use corn and water, namely everything. Not to mention the harm done to vehicle innards by ethanol which will save us money on repairs.

In order to bring this country back we're going to have to accept that some really lazy people and their families are going to starve to death. I'm OK with that, it is called natural selection. If you want to help these worthless people go ahead but don't use the force of government to steal my money in order to fund your altruism.

    Gotta keep the sheeple happy.

Could you imagine what would happen to the liberals in both parties if they told the truth, they'd be run out of office on rail. The God Damned Commies wouldn't get elected for a century and we'd have prosperity.

Our solution for grocery costs is to buy all of our meats from the butcher (small local business) and all our produce from the dangers market next to them. Much cheaper and our money is going to local businesses.
I could get you whey protein by the 50lb bag lol we feed it to hogs, as for meat I love being a livestock nutritional consultant so I have many customers I can get beef from last time I bought a side of beef it was 2$ a lb processed it would probably be a lot more expensive like 3-3.50 now but still cheaper than the store
