Default Important vote on Castle Rock Open Carry today (kind of)

The future of open carry in Castle Rock is being put to the test today. Special vote on whether to remove the power of the Town Manager to make that decision and force a ballot vote on the issue.
Not sure what to make of this one? If they win and it goes to a vote in January the people could still vote to approve open carry but this may something to keep an eye on. I take it the "anti's" started this petition for a vote so I would guess a win would be on there favor?

    From DC firearms FB page:

"For those of you that received your ballots regarding the Open Carry decisions in Castle Rock, we wanted to offer a clarification on the measures.

A YES vote on measure A means the Town Manager may not restrict the open carrying of firearms by the public on municipal properties.

A YES vote on Measure B means the voters must approve future action by the Town Council restricting the right to keep and bear firearms.

Please vote YES on these measures to keep the peoples choices on self defense, in the hands of the people."

I voted Yes/Yes as did the wife. Someone in the neighborhood is an anti and put up flyers on the mailbox sites in our little neighborhood .
The second part of that ballot to me is the important one.

Does this mean OC is GTG in CR. OR does it need to be put on the ballot for city wide vote?

Open carry is legal where it has always been legal....and now open carry isn't restricted in municipal areas.

The second measure on the ballot means the city manager can't change/restrict city fire arms laws without the publics approval by vote.

So it's a done deal, or can the common sense folks get something on novembers ballot, negating these votes ?
