Agreed. This is one of the big reasons I have a hard time associating with the (R) party these days. The GOP needs to do a massive overhaul & realize they could alienate some older voters but let's be realistic here... they didn't lose the election because they didn't get enough old people anyway.
This is part of the reason I don't talk too much about politics with the guy who works a few spaces away from me, even though we are the only two techs in that part of the building.
He's republican, idealistic and very adamant about no abortion, and all the other stuff. I like the guy to death, and value the fact he has his own opinions, and researches facts himself.
However, I'm 28 and support a womans choice. Does that make me a weakling? A feminist? no, none of that. I'm a modern man, living in a modern society, that is mostly free. Shoot, if I got a chick pregnant, I'd be there to raise a kid and support her. If she wanted an abortion, I'd support that too.
To me, forcing abortion bans, would be like someone growing a parasitic twin on their left ear, when everyone who has seen said twin vomits uncontolably and you decide to get it removed, the doctor telling you it has to stay.
Now just so I'ts not an issue, I'm not saying kids are like parasitic twins. They are both just cell growth.
