Now I have a few of the Polskis myself, and never did build on them yet. I know the top rails have to be trimmed,I have the scribe jig to do it with and the holes shouldn't be hard to measure out. But will these heat treat like other flats? I have been hearing all different things on them and never tried yet--Paging Rachel Ray....

Have to clean them good, before hand. Remember install / spot weld rails BEFORE Heat treating.

I've heard that the polish blanks can be finicky to heat treat. There is a guy the akfiles that has it down to a science aand sells them heat ttreated with rails.

My internet is down right now so I'm limited to a phone otherwise I'd link the guy's website
Offering complete Heating, A/C, refrigeration installation and service in the Northern Colorado area.

Centerfire systems has kits at decent prices. Might want to check them out. Complete kit with barrel, minus receiver- $320.
