    AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry of Texas was indicted on two felony counts on Friday by a state grand jury examining his handling of a local district attorney’s drunken driving arrest and the state financing for a public corruption unit under the lawyer’s control.

    Retribution for activating the NG for the border.

    I don't think the federal gov't had anything to do with this. According to what I read this has been months in the making. This issue is basically that he threatened to veto something before it was even presented in an attempt to get someone out of office...someone who probably didn't deserve to be in office. But, being she's a democrat, she's part of the protected, elite class. I don't see anything coming of this except for maybe some embarrassment to Perry (who's out in Nov anyway) and to democrats that brought this whole thing about.

    This whole situation confuses me. The state is backing a drunk driving public official? Weird. I wouldnt expect this from the great state of Texas.
