Darrell "Shifty" Powers from Easy Company, 506 PIR, 101st ABN and made known to the world through the series "The Band of Brothers" has passed away.

I had the great pleasure of meeting some of these men during a book signing and dinner. It's a sad time knowing that the men who fought in WWII are going to a higher ground and we are losing those who made their mark in history and brought the level of this country up a few notches.

God speed and to another American hero!
