    Default Interesting Developments in Missouri

More breaking news: Apparently Officer Wilson suffered an “orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket.” Reports are this has been confirmed by the St Louis County prosecutor's office and the St Louis County Police.

A blowout fracture is a fracture of one or more of the bones surrounding the eye and is commonly referred to as an orbital floor fracture.
That type of injury would most likely be considered serious bodily injury in Colorado and could be a legal justification for the use of deadly force. If this is true then it certainly lends credibility to the officer's version of events. Also, a reporter for the St Louis Post-Dispatch tweeted two days ago the police have a dozen witnesses who have come forward to corroborate the officer's story.

With the "militarization" of the police, I'm surprised they didn't claim TBI...

I heard that, it is a very serious injury, I hope the officer recovers fully.

More like expected development. Kudos to the officer for connecting all 6 shots with a fractured orbital.

More and more reports are supporting the series of events according to the police. And then you have the Gov there demanding there be vigorous "prosecution"...

Gov Nixon is a moron. I've never seen pandering to the extent it's being done by this governor to the black community. He should be ashamed and there should be an impeachment vote because of how he's blatantly suggested the constitutions of the US and MO be violated. Why not let due process run it's course and let the blame fall where it may once ALL the facts have been heard?
