I figured someone said "Bless you" or some other atrocity. Glad it was "just a prank", even though the douche who did it a complete ass, and that the kiddos are all ok.

On another board which mentioned this, someone said that a swatting should be prosecuted as attempted murder, due to the high potential danger that the person being swatted faces.
I'm all for it! If you make such a false report like that, you should be the one screwed. It's just a matter of time until one of these turns fatal (if it's not already), best to start the harsh sentence now.

What in the blue hell would possess someone to call the freaking SWAT team on someone because of something they did to them in a goddamn video game. Fucking punkass kids...someone is going to die because of this, and I really hope the DA brings them up on 1st degree murder charges.

Unbelievable. I'd never heard of such a thing until I saw this on the news last night. Idiotic, dangerous actions like this make me wish for the return of pillories.
It would appear that the author of said article from The Free Thought project has a REAL bug up his butt about police in general, and has omitted several salient points about the incident so as to make things seem as though the cops overreacted. For instance, with a call about a live shooter scenario, his suggestion of the police "making a phone call or sending out a single officer to knock and ask questions" is about as stupid as making these "swatting" calls.
