Those thief/ives are stupid. Who steals an OEM stereo system? I don't think it would work on other smart car or any other vehicles. No dealership will install it for the thief.

Thieves suck! I had a stereo stolen out of a Tracker I had years ago, and I still remember how pissed I was. Worst part for me was I had a Gen X cd in it that was only released in Europe, I paid $30 for it used (almost 20 yrs ago), and to this day I haven't been able to find a replacement for - yes, I'm still very bitter about it!!! On the plus side, I gained a rather large Craftsman screwdriver that they left behind, and they were nice enough to unzip the back window instead of cutting through the top.
Make sure you keep your eyes open for the next few weeks - a lot of times they'll come back hoping the insurance company put a nice new unit in there for them. I do like the razor blades on the bottom idea...
Thieves do really suck! My parents and brothers camper both had the batteries taken out of them last night. The whole street who had campers out had also got swiped. What a joke.
