Back in highschool a friend of mine had several stereos stolen out of his 1969 GTO. He solved the problem by super-gluing several razor blades along the bottom back end of the stereo. He came out one morning and found the stereo half out of the dash and blood everywhere. Later that day at school we noticed one of the class low-lifes with his hand bandaged up so we met up with him after school and beat on him a bit.

Yeah, I hate thieves. Forced hand removal for thieves may be the ONE thing the Islamic world gets right.

I only WISH it was the OE stereo (Dealer quoted $2100 JUST for the head unit, installation extra ). This one had a Kenwood GPS/DVD unit mounted in the dash, so the insurance company will only pay to replace that, less the $500 deductible. The weird thing is that they took the stereo, but left the change cup(~$10 of assorted change).

I think that is stupid as shit personally. I drive a 4 cylinder Kia Spectra around so I defintely am not averse to driving a small car. I just can't see the appeal of a Smart Car. I will take a 5 MPG reduction from that 42 MPG in town with my Kia to drive around a car that looks like a car and not like a toy.

And off topic...but that is one of the best urban dictionary definitions I have ever read.

That really sucks... but I just don't believe this quote; we can't even fit all our crap in a Tundra with a topper. Then again we are pretty organizationally challenged.

On a side note, that's interesting that they left the change; we had a similar issue a few years ago but it was about $50 in cash and change right in the open. Walked around and talked with the neighbors and found out that a couple of high school kids had been through the neighborhood earlier that night selling coupon books. We were able to track down the company and the kids but could never prove it was them. If it was I hope tracking them so easily scared them enough that they never did it again.
