Back when I started reloading and my grandson was about 10-11, he'd been watching me load .45acp rounds. Unbeknownst to me, he later decided to "help Grandpa" and load a few for me. Unbeknownst to him, I'd set the powder measure to OFF, and his rounds were powderless.

That little fiasco cost me two 1911 barrels on my next range trip. Thank God I was making powder-puff LSWC loads. No Kabooms, but two swollen barrels. And a severe case of red-ass.

I once stopped a friend from firing after I heard a squib round as he was shooting his Beretta 92. It was completely a lucky catch. If I hadn't stopped to watch him shoot that string of fire (and honestly, I was just harassing him for being a bad shot) he would have blown something up. It's something I keep in mind every time I'm pulling the handle on my Dillon 650.

I anticipate that I'll miss a squib someday and blow up my gun.

Lol. I just hope I'm there to see it.

At a safe distance, of course.

I am slightly disappointed we didn't get to see live footage of a "kaboom" in the video.

Had a .30carbine with no powder just a primer and it pushed the bullet into the lands and would not chamber another round. As bad as it sounds, best Squib I could have had.
