Default PSA: Check your CC accts/ Home Depot Data Breach

    http://online.wsj.com/articles/home-...ach-1410209720

I found out yesterday when the Microsoft store called to confirm if I had placed an order. I didn't, but the charges were pending on my Amex. Microsoft store cancelled the fraudulent order and I called Amex to get a new card.

Check your credit card accounts for fraud, it looks pretty widespread!

You should get one of those new iPhones, you can put your credit cards right on the phone and pay by tapping! Your data will be super duper secure, it's not like the iCloud has ever been hacked before...

Cash is PITA, credit your protected. I don't understand why anyone keeps debit cards except maybe to access ATM.

    ^^ this

I've bought things online, only way to pay "cash" is a PO money order... what a PITA, AMEX has been fantastic- I get instant notification if there is a charge without my card present, or if it goes over limits I set... in the event of fraud, I'm not responsible.

I have used cards for decades without any incident because I am careful and watch my accounts (and have reporting setup, and use and change passwords regularly)

Like anything else, your security is your responsibility- even if it's technical...

Just checked. Looks like I have to cut up my wife's card. Because she spends too damn much.
