Ray Lewis obstructed justice and was an accessory to a murder investigation. Michael Vick ran a large-scale dog fighting ring. Janikowski has been in bar fights, DUIs, evidence tampering, possession of GHB, and bribery. Pac Man. Plaxico. The list goes on.

That's what I was telling my wife. There are probably even thousands of others that can fill the spot. With as small as the NFL is, the players should be thrown away like garbage when they act like garbage. The league wouldn't even miss a beat. And hell, if their worried about maintaining some twisted image of criminal athletes, there are tens of thousands of others to fill the spot.

I heard on some talk radio show that some pizzeria is offering a free pizza for anyone who turns in their Rice jersey. The host said it was "like a gun buy-back program".
