I totally understand where chad4k is coming from. But I believe in this instance Rice had time to just walk away. If need be run away. Cool off. I have a horrible temper (think the hulk). Best thing my dad thought me was to walk away.

I honestly think both of them gave some serious issues. I'm sure there is some history of abuse from their upbringing. It is sad.

With people wanting Goodells head I don't see rice coming back.....toxic.

Report: Law enforcement official sent Rice tape to NFL exec in April

A law enforcement official says he sent a video of Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee to an NFL executive five months ago, while Commissioner Roger Goodell has insisted the league didn't see the violent images until this week.

The person played The Associated Press a 12-second voicemail from an NFL office number on April 9 confirming the video arrived. A female voice expresses thanks and says: "You're right. It's terrible."

Looks like the heat is on for Goodell.

Here is my slightly different take on this issue. If Ray Rice had been in possession of an AR with a 30 round magazine in Atlantic City, NJ, he would have faced stiffer criminal penalties than he has for knocking his future wife out cold.

Nice judicial system New Jersey. Nice to see you have your priorities straight when it comes to protecting people from criminals.

One can only hope that a large majority of Americans agree with you, I certainly do. However, I am not going to hold my breath.
