Default Finding a primary care physician

So, I'm not getting any younger and think it might be time to find a regular doctor. Trying to do some internet research but there seems to be either way too much info or way too little info for me to try to make a decision who I should try to go see. Anyone have any tips or tricks to help me with my research? Thanks.

I also live in Thornton, and am looking for a doctor.

In terms of researching, no. I've been fortunate in that I've still got a 'family doctor'. He's in his 60s now, I do believe. But he's been my PCP since I was knee-high. He actually remembers his patients needs and issues, is up-to-date with the latest advances and options, always tries to avoid controlled prescriptions, knows all the best firms for specialized referrals, and best of all-practices what he preaches. He's a fit guy that you actually trust to be informed on what the body should be doing. It doesn't hurt that he's got an engineering degree to boot.

If you're interested, I'll give you his info.

One important thing you should consider is finger size. If you're 50 or older and haven't had one yet, you'll understand after your first physical.

I love my doctor, she's out in Windsor. If I moved down to Denver I'd still use her as my GP.

I always ask a nurse, "who would you have your father use?" That has worked for me. Seems though with the search for affordable care, I'm looking for a new provider yearly...

I'm kinda in the same boat. Nothing wrong with my regular doc but the two clinics in Conifer have combined and now he's booked solid months in advance. It's just really hard to get an appt with him so I wind up seeing whatever PA is available.

I see Dr.Parker at Complete Family care off 112th and Huron. The office has 4 Drs in at most times and never have to wait a week to get in. Dr. Parker is a straight forward and a good Dr. Hope this helps
