I had Rhubarb/Cherry tort at the Powderhouse in SD last week, yum.

We had an evil rhubarb plant in our garden and my mom made the best stuff. Rhubarb pies, jams. Grandma was the best cook ever. Hands down best dumplings in this world. Those old German/Belgian broads knew how to cook. Pa's side is Irish so we all know how to drink too.

Oh, yeah....Furr's Cafeteria. Good comfort food. I was gonna stop in at the one in Wheat Ridge a few months back and found out they closed in Jan. Last one in Colorado.

Amen to that. My family used to go there every Saturday up here in FoCo until they closed. Then, we'd go by the one next to I25 when we came back from the airport (always enjoyed the blind piano player at that one).
