True, but the coddling and enabling them to the extent that our society does makes it worse. Look at the sentencing for this one if you need proof. 40 years per murder, one of those sentences completely suspended and nearly half the other. I don't care what anyone says, this kid is NOT going to be safe to release into society after 21 years having spent more than half his life and all of his adult life incarcerated. Think about it, He'll be 39 years old, know every trick in the book and will have learned that there are no permanent consequences for permanent actions. My eldest sister is a sociopath of the worst kind. Genius level intelligence, master manipulator, and utterly without conscience. Thankfully, the rest of my family has seen her for what she is, and has nothing to do with her.

Sounds like one of my uncles. Took me twice having my identity stolen by him to cut him off, I tried to believe a jail stint and rehab cleaned his act up after the first time. However my grandmother refuses to abandon one of her sons, and I worry what could happen when he gets out of jail this time around. She already lost her house because of him.
