Made it through alive!
Had my gastric bypass surgery today, they say it was very successful. Sure feel sore and tired though. And so begins a whole new episode of life, hopefully as a much smaller version of my former self. Tired of being a fatass, wanna see what normal feels like!
FWIW - my wife works for Kaiser Permanente, this surgery was totally FREE! Nice union benefit there.

Congratulations and good luck! I don't want to be a downer, but I know a guy that completely reversed the same process, don't be THAT guy, be true to yourself and dedicate to a healthy lifestyle.
Good luck my friend. Fighting the same battle, I need to loose some serious weight. Just can't seem to win.

Oh, I don't think I will. Hope not. After I made the decision to begin this journey, I lost 45 pounds on my own just by changing eating habits and having a physically active job. Over the years I've given up smoking cigarettes, then pot, then booze, then cigars, and now coffee. Haven't gone back on any of those. Sure miss my coffee though, but they say the caffeine can cause ulcers in this new stomach pouch. Plus I load it with sweet shit.Originally Posted by hurley842002

Congrats. I know someone who had the surgery once. Just about anything with real sugar in it would make them sick to their stomach. Not sure if it's that way for everyone. Hope it all works out for you.
