My takeaways:
Like most gun grabbers, he's a hypocrite.
He's unlikely to be charged and convicted with a felony under a law he promulgated.
Amazingly, his gun didn't jump from its holster and randomly start murdering children.
Why is it illegal for properly vetted people to carry in schools again? He had a pistol permit, and yet they still did everything but call in an airstrike...

Very interesting indeed. I can see the judge letting him walk on bail. Seems like an honest mistake. But, the law is the law. He of all people should know and understand, good person or not.

He is trying to prove a point....
'Forgetting' that you're carrying for starters. Then, 'forgetting' that you're carrying in one of the most controversial no-carry zones. Finally, 'forgetting' that you're carrying in one of the most controversial no-carry zones when you're active in anti-2A legislation.
This guy thought he was exempt because he is one of the good guys. Period.Still more, Ferguson is something of a professional vigilante in Buffalo. He can be seen patrolling local malls and city streets in an effort to stop gang violence.
