Dogs don't have thumbs so they cannot get themselves out of weather or things that they are not meant to be in. All they can do is bark and hope someone hears them. I get it.
Had to go to the new neighbor @ 2AM a few years ago. She thought that because it was summer that it was ok to leave the dogs out at night....... Poor things had no clue and were scared. After one vanished she took the hint. Barking little dogs attract predators in the night.
