Default Pikes Peak Council Sportsmans Challenge 2014, 10/11 Oct 2014

    2014 Sportsmans Challenge

The Scouting program has always had three specific objectives commonly referred to as the "Aims" of Scouting." They are character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Today's Scout continues to thrive by maintaining good morals, a love for his country and a trust in God. As we look ahead to the future, we also look back to where we've been... and celebrate the adventure. The Pikes Peak Council Sportsman's Challenge will enhance this future by providing the necessary support needed to provide a high quality program to an ever increasing number of Scouts.

Remember, the live auction at Bass Pro on 10 Oct is open to the public, no fee. I'm trying to get a list of what will be up on the auction but I know the following will be:

    - Glock 19 in FDE
    - Springfield XD-S 3.8 (I think -- slightly larger version of the XD singlestack)
    - Lady Smith & Wesson snubnose in .38 Spcl (pink and girly)
    - Savage Axis XP with scope -- not sure of the caliber, I told Jeremy to get it in something other than .308 so I wouldn't be tempted into bidding

Huge thanks to awesome people like WiseAsset, Earplug and DocMedic that took the time to come out and support the local Boy Scouts.

Lots of people came out and got to shoot someones guns, using someone elses ammo, and didnt have to clean any guns.

Not sure when it will be next year, but based on the feedback we got it looks like people want to do it again.
