Default Car fire/explosion at 104th and Grant

So I heard an explosion at 6:17am this morning. I just took this as the norm where I live where houses explode or airplanes fall onto them. The news is reporting it is a work vehicle that caught fire, then exploded. Looks like a work truck of some type.

Too soon to find an online news report apparently.

Well since both explosions seem to be the direct result of flammable containers leaking and then exploding, I'd say it has little to do with the make of the trucks.

Virginia Beach Fire Department Battalion Chief Jack Crandell said fumes from the bottle likely escaped overnight and ignited when the key fob was pressed.
North Metro Fire says the explosion came from two tanks used to fuel a torch for welding that were stored inside the cab of the Ford F350.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes, but still better than GM's spontaneous combustion ignition switches.

Ford has more fires, on a per vehicle basis than any other maker who sells cars in the US. They also have more attorneys on a per vehicle basis than any other.

The hundreds of ignition switches and cruise control disconnect switch fires are just a small amount. I have even worked 2 fires on Fords that caught on fire due to the cruise control switch that had the "repair" performed. Drive cars with stupid design, might get burnt.

I remember that last one, because it also rolled out across the street.

Yup, a WORK truck, so it has to be a FORD. Chebys can't handle being a work truck.
