    Default GPS luggage tracker ?

Does anybody have experience with GPS luggage tracking. Looking at fly with a rifle I don't really want the wonderful pieces of shit with the TSA walking away with my rifle and case. Also can you guys recommend TSA resistant locks for a pelican case.

The TSA won't take your shit. Baggage handlers are your concern.

Have you checked a declared firearm at DIA?

Once you have, please come back and describe the process and how the wonderful pieces of shit with the TSA went anywhere with your rifle and case.

If you are really concerned, drop ship the case to yourself at your planned destination. It will cost you more, but you won't need any TSA resistant locks

Go to lowes/home depot (whichever one isn't union) and buy the 4-pack of Master keyed locks. Use your eye and determine which ones will fit through the lock-ports on your pelican case, don't get the locks that are too big obviously. Don't lose the key(s).

Secure the locks before you declare***. They'll ask you to open the case to insert the orange tag you signed to declare that the weapons are unloaded. Unlock the case & insert, lock back up. Wait the 10min while TSA inspects them, make sure you're available to unlock the case if TSA asks you to.

***I made the mistake of asking the dumb bitch at reagan airport (Frontier) to tell me when TSA was done inspecting, and I'd lock the case back up. Well 5min later she comes up and asks me what I'm still doing there, I showed her the locks in my hand and told her I'm waiting for her to give me the all clear to lock my case back up, she gets this vapid look in her face and tells me that TSA already cleared my baggage and it's on it's way. I told her to get my case back because it has weapons inside that are unsecured, and that this was not a good situation. She gets a TSA agent, who then actually helps me, and in the meantime F'd off and never again asked how I was doing. Since it was WashDC, pretty sure she was a hippy bitch and didn't care. I emailed frontier and complained, they shrugged and said they'd contact the washDC manager. From now on, I keep it locked all the time unless they are actively telling me to have it unlocked while I stand in front of it.

Usually TSA won't ask you to unlock and open unless they can't figure out the contents from the Xray.

"If it fits, it ships." Usually.

If they can't get the case through the scanner, they'll need to open it. Last time I flew out DIA, pretty much all the longer rifle cases were not going through the scanner. However, they were also jammed up with guys coming through from the Raton shoot. Glad I beat them to the line.

FL recognizes CO CCW permit, bringing a hand gun never hurts.

All the TSA agents I've ever dealt with wanted to be sure you used a TSA non-compliant lock on the firearm case specifically because they check it and let you lock it in front of them. TSA is the last of my worries when checking a firearm.
