Ok. Hypothetically speaking, if a person had an import rifle that met all of the 922R compliance stuff but had a normal, plain barrel with no threading or muzzle device, could a US made muzzle break (not flash hider) be installed if it was done in a permanent manner? In other words, if the barrel was threaded, the US made muzzle brake was installed and blind pinned and welded, would it be good to go?
A muzzle brake wouldn't be a flash hider, the part would be US made so no foreign parts will be added, and the install would be permanent so technically the barrel would not be considered threaded.
What do you guys think or know about the subject?
