Transferring pictures from Android phone to Ipad?

My phone pictures automatically upload to the cloud, which can then be accessed from anywhere. Would it be too much of a hassle to directly connect phone to computer, pull down the ones you want, then transfer to Ipad?

I heard that is an issue for some of the celebrities out there...
