Any recommendations on a shop that can chop and re-thread a Bushmaster chrome lined barrel for me?
This is for a new pistol build - I understand the NFA.

I would not cut a CL barrel. You will end up with separation of the CL at the muzzle. It might be okay to start, but there is a good chance after a number of rounds, the chattered edges will cause patterns instead of groups.
You can find 10.5" barrels from $100 to about $150 with a little search foo.
I appreciate the advice, but this barrel is shot-out anyway.
I'm looking to build a cheap pistol to throw in the truck.
Granted, if the cost of chopping it is equal to a new barrel, I will go with a new barrel.
Buy one.
