    Default Pulldown bullets?

While ordering my last bunch of bullets, I noticed RMR sells a lot of "pulled" bullets, with lots of options for nice hollow points (including some HST last time I checked).

Why would a company pull bullets from loaded rounds? Is there a common reason? Bad batches? Ammo that was loaded and found to be incorrectly loaded before it left the factory? Seems like they have a lot of "pulled" bullets so I'd be surprised (and a little frightened) if they had that many bad batches.

The military style bullets are due to them not being able to sell loaded mil contract ammo to civilians. They break it down and sell what they can, powder included.

At least some companies / mfg pull their bullets. I've seen some questionable reman at gun shows, from vendors people rave about. The mfg could have found some high primers, incorrect OAL, something that they found it easier to unload and sell the bullets, than multiple lawsuits.

Based on what I see on recalls, I'd say a good amount is wrong powder or wrong charge weight.

+1 to all the above. Lots of reasons they could have been pulled. Makes some good buys for us, though!!

+1 on the statement above. I don't mind paying for cheap pulled bullets, especially if it was someone else's screw up. Hence the reason that I reload, I eliminate those errors.
