    I wish I had one of those when I was a kid splitting wood in the summer. Would have save a lot of the "building character" episodes.

    You can generally find them sitting outside home depot.

    I would just buy a 22 ton splitter. Can be had new for around $1000. In the spring you can find a few in the $750 range.
