That's a Tactical Response "Fighting Pistol" class, is it not?

Am I a bad person for hoping he catches one in an arm or leg to teach him a lesson?
Yes it is.
I do not agree with the practice nor do I think its smart, but...
Having someone down range does not violate any of the 4 safety rules, and the world is not a square range.
The dude that turns around with his finger on the trigger is the biggest bonehead of them all.
You know I like my coffee sweet in the morning
and I'm crazy about my tea at night
seriously... that is the 2nd dumbest thing ive ever seen, next to the hillbilly kid who takes a 9mm through a vest to see if it works...
If any of these people get a little adrenalin going and miss that target, that guy is fawked! And what kind of moron pulls there weapon to a "ready" position and points it up? Ever wanna know what it feels like to shoot somebody? go to this class and miss your target...
This video is awesome. I personally would not have agreed to do that, because I'm a bad shot, and I know it.
"There are no finger prints under water."
Awesome! Looks fun. Would I try it.....? Maybe if I was on morphine and Jim Beam!
I wonder how often Tactical Response takes videos like this? Is it often, or was this a one time incident? Anyone know?
There are many different ready positions than just the traditional Low Ready. Different schools teach different things and have a different philosophy. Some even teach position SUL (yes, with a pistol). And what kind of moron pulls there weapon to a "ready" position and points it up?
SUL makes perfect sense to me in CQB. but pointing it up? are we in the movies now? lol MUCH harder to get the weapon back down and on target, and if somebody knocks into you and your "that guy" with his booger picker on the trigger, I could see a pretty effective kill shot happening(to yourself)...
If you ask me point up is piss poor training. With a low stance your initial gut instinct during an encounter is to bring your hands up.
Think back for yourself... if you have ever been scared or surprised by something or someone you bring your hands up to your face. Not down.
