    Default Good spidey sense moment?

So been on the hunt for a new dog to replace dearly departed charlie and keep kitty the rotweiler occupied, had been perusing craigslist.
    Came across this gem. http://denver.craigslist.org/pet/4720481363.html

They call my gf, and say that the dog got out and was bit by another dog and has a limp that their vet says is nothing serious/permanent. Strike 1, I'm thinking ok actually sick and with muscular/skeletal problems.

#2, Craigslist map shows Hudson, They say on the way to Sterling and suggest Fort Morgan. They text her later asking where she wants to meet then texts again suggesting a Sinclair like a mile outside of Sterling on a interchange kinda middle of no where. If nothing else a 1.5 hour drive across state for a dog we havn't met etc, but to me screams some kinda of stick em up for the cash kinda deal somewhere with no cell service.

#3, Googling the number came up with a name and 30th ave address in Denver, though couldnt get anything else from the name/#.

So too many red flags dontcha think? Frustrating since it was quite a tempting TGTBT.

National Mill Dog Rescue out of Peyton Colorado. They have mostly pure breeds that were rescued from puppy mills at various stages of their lives and do a wonderful service to these poor dogs. If you have a place for a dog or dogs in your life I couldn't recommend adopting one of those critters more. Don't buy dogs as you are supporting/rewarding these same people unless you pay a small fortune, fill out an application, get selected for adoption after a home visit and are allowed to see every square inch of the facility. This is rare these days and what is more common is that you're supporting a puppy mill even if you don't buy from a mall pet store. I wish more people know the shit they put the dogs through to supply the puppies that they buy.
