    Default .454 Casull reloading help

I took a .454 Casull in trade a while back and got 4 rounds with it. I made the monumental mistake of assuming my wife didn't want to shoot it and promptly shot the 4 rounds with my brothers at the range. Much to my surprise (and quite frankly, excitement!), my wife came back from the car and asked if we shot all the rounds for the "hand cannon". She was disappointed she didn't get to shoot it.

I feel I owe the lovely wife to make it up to her, but I don't want to pay $50 or more for a box of ammo to a gun I don't intend to keep. (I would love to keep it, but I can't keep that much money wrapped up in a handgun I would rarely use right now). I was wondering if there was a fellow reloader out there who could help me out by letting me come over and reload my 4 spent shell cases on their .454 setup. I would be willing to pay for the 4 bullets and powder (I think I have some large pistol primers). Or maybe a fellow .454 owner would be willing to sell a couple rounds for a reasonable fee.

I didn't see a forum for reloading, other than the one under AR-15 specific forums. I probably just missed it, so feel free to move this mods.

Get some .45 Colt ammo and tell her it's .454.

    Won't work, she's already shot my 45LC.

It doesn't need to be pushing the limits of the cartridge, but I want a moderate to high powered loading. In other words, something similar to a factory load.

Double Tap has some good stuff. Or you can let her try out the 45lc in the +p range.

Who/Where/What is Double Tap? The point is I don't want to buy a whole box of ammo.

    What bullet weight?

I have data from 250-378 gns.

The factory 260 gn ammo is brutal.

Bullet weight doesn't really matter. She would just like to shoot it. I only have 4 cases. I just want to buy 2 or 3 rounds from someone, or get someone to let me come over and load the 4 cases I have. I don't have the cash right now to buy a box of ammo or the dies/bullets I need to reload.

As to why I own it, I took it in a trade. I've wanted a .454 for a while, but I can't afford to have that much money tied up in a FA .454 right now. Maybe later I can pick up a Taurus Raging bull or something, but not right now. I'll probably look to sell it in a little while.
