Default Caution on buying a used SB15 brace

For those of you buying the Kak industries buffer tube for your pistol builds do not buy an arm brace that has already been installed on a standard pistol buffer tube. They will be stretched out and just spin on the Kak tube. Save yourself the money and time and get a new brace. I learned of this by running across this on youtube:

Wow, the KAK must be significantly smaller diameter than the Phase 5 Hex 2. There's no way those could ever spin freely on them.

Boiling the brace will shrink the rubber back to original.

Hey I believed you and appreciated the tip! I even Googled boiling the brace (wasn't sure how long to boil it for) and found the same article you posted above. Also sent a link to the guy who made that vid too!

Worse comes to worse, maybe you could use golf re-gripping tape and grip solvent to keep in place?

Yeah the idea of grip lock came to my mind. Harley grips come with a tube for installing and securing grips. Kind of like a vulcanized rubber cement.

Nope not yet still missing some ingredients like garlic, onion, etc. No seriously the brace I have is not at where I'm at right now nor do I have the Kak tube yet either.
