I assume if I'm ever pulled over in Denver, if will pop up on the officer's computer. Any thoughts? Just write this one off to bad luck and just pay it? Pay the ticket.

You may never hear from them till it's time to renew your DL, or plates. That's when they get you. Late friend of ours blew off 5-6 tickets. Went to renew his DL. Had to fly back from NY pay tickets, fees and court cost. Plus plane fare. $1200 later, he showed denver who was boss.

They will turn you over to collections, which they also run, so they won't settle with you either.

I never said it was or wasn't my fault. I only said neither my wife nor I saw the sign......

    - break -

...Thanks for all the replies (well, at least most of the replies).

I will just send them the money and chalk this one up as a learning experience.

Pay it. If you've never seen the denver parking guys in action, you'll get to see it first hand. This is the one thing they do with speed and precision. I saw a van scan plates. slam on th brakes and have the boot on in under 60 seconds. On the same note, a co-worker in a utility truck pulled over to talk to dispatch, got a street sweeping ticket while in his truck. She could have just as easily asked him to move. He was in the truck. He thinks he's gonna fight it and win. Silly youth.

Best to pay the ticket and pay it on time. Fighting it will go something like this. .. You drive around for ever trying to find a parking spot. Once you do, the meter is broken so you have to find another. Another 50 trips around the block you find a meter. You plug in as much money as you can and pray you have enough time. Sprint just to wait in line to talk to the Pork-snorkle at the window. Tell him your story. He cares less and stares at you like you are a turd in a punchbowl. You pay and have now wasted a good portion of your day and money on a parking meter. While exiting downtown you cuss and swear because roads are closed for some dumbass celebration or walkathon, or some other misery inducing bullshit is being planned. You finally exit downtown and vow to never return.

They will send you to a collections company if you don't pay.

Just pay it before the fine doubles.

A collections company that they own. That's what I was told anyway.
