Default Some Nebraska students get OK to pose with guns

Superintendent Mark Sievering (SEE'-vur-ing) says that as district officials talked about the issue, "There was a sense that to allow a student to have a firearm, as long as it was done in a tasteful manner in terms of a hunting or sporting-type picture, that that might be OK."

I was in our year book for "most skipped days" cause I was always hunting. Had a picture in the year book of me hiding behind my car with a shotgun and the principle looking for me. Also, some of my senior pics were taken in the duck blind. That was 1998. Well pics were taken '97. Yeah I'm old.

Grew up near Broken Bow. Glad to see there's still some common sense left somewhere. Lots of guys would get pictures taken with a car, horse, bow, whatever, based on whatever they were into. I don't see how this is any different.

Interesting side note, I guess my old high school now has trap shooting as a sport you can letter in.

I wonder if a Hi Point will make it in the pictures?
