6 pounds lighter using the same material is pretty good engineering if you ask me. Isn't the lima only about 5 pounds lighter? Ronnie and the gang do some awesome work.

The pushup answers were 26.7lbs for the B and 22.4lbs for the L. I don't think those are 100% accurate, but that's what we were ingrained with.
I wonder how this new model fares against the 48. We got a couple of those on my first deployment, they were pretty damn cool.

I seem to remember the E4 being 22.5 or so. I always felt it got a bad rap. I thought a well tuned 60 ran like a champ. Only problem was, it needed to be well tuned. I thought the bravos were far more unwieldy that the E3. 240's are good guns, but heavy and long. Never got to play with the MK48, seen the specs and heard from others that it was really the way to go.

For mobile use I'd probably go with a 48... lighter and if a bad guy is observing and mistakenly thinks our largest weapon is a SAW then all the better. For a mounted position, 240 all the way... much better system in my opinion. That said I carried the Lima and with the shorter barrel and collapsible stock, I didn't find it all that unwieldy.
Never had the pleasure of playing with a 60... they look fun.

Agree with you here. I always think mobile by default. But yeah, mounted, 240's, M2s, Mk19s all the way. Got out before the L's. They look pretty good though.

I'll probably have to settle for an M249. Glad to have this instructional video on barrel break in, I'm sure it will help.
