Nah. He was "bullied". It fits the narrative.

Washington shooting: police investigate love triangle claims

Some reports said he had been suspended from the football team, possibly because of a fight with a fellow player, and had been bullied, possibly over his Native American heritage. Marysville-Pilchuck has a number of students from the Tulalip tribe.

More typical than it looked at first glance. Most sociopaths are incredibly controlling of relationships (or potential relationships), insane levels of jealousy.

Looks like he had the "if I can't have her nobody will". Don't have ID yet on the victims, but I'll hazard a guess and say he probably shot the girl and the circle of friends around the girl, how dare they flirt with her even though she has no interest in dating the whackjob. One socio I know went so far as to stalk her ex-boyfriend on a daily basis for more than four months after they broke up. Then took it to level 2 by stalking every woman she ever saw him talk to - like a gas station attendant for two months. That's the level of insanity your dealing with.

They are usually highly extroverted, popular, and can fake deeper emotion but do not feel any. They are the type of people that others say "He seemed like a nice kid". Even while the "kid" is doing things like shoving firecrackers in animals while nobody is looking....

Sociopathy is incurable and counseling makes it worse. Its unfortunate it can't be removed from the gene pool. We are sitting at between 1/16 and 1/25 individuals - if you learn to recognize them well you can save your family (kids) a lot of grief.
It's been a while since I've pulled out my DSM-IV, but that sounds pretty plausible.

Luckily he used a hand gun, not that it matters to people with an agenda. Up side, a ban on 40 S&W

Sheriff: School shooter invited victims to lunch

MARYSVILLE, Wash. — A popular student responsible for a shooting at a Washington state high school invited his victims to lunch by text message, then shot them at their table, investigators said Monday.

Snohomish County Sheriff Ty Trenary said at a news conference that the five students were at a lunch table Friday when they were shot by 15-year-old Jaylen Fryberg. Fryberg then committed suicide.

Detectives are digging through reams of text messages, phone and social media records as part of an investigation that could take months, Trenary said.

"The question everybody wants is, 'Why?'" Trenary said. "I don't know that the 'why' is something we can provide."

Not sure why this teacher's intervention is not being publicized more.

    http://www.alloutdoor.com/2014/10/25...ly+Newsletter#
Marysville, WA – Megan Silberberger is a first-year social studies teacher at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, which was recently the site of murder and assault committed by a student on other students. And she was very likely the reason why the misguided youth didn’t hurt more people.

The 14-year-old killer, whose name I refuse to publicize, began shooting after an argument. Silberberger reportedly rushed to the scene and confronted the armed boy.

A student told reporters of Silberberger, “She heard the gunshots first and she came in running through the door, right next to it.”

He added, “I believe she’s actually the real hero. She’s the one that intercepted him with the gun. He tried either reloading or tried aiming at her. She tried moving his hand away and he tried shooting and shot himself in the neck.”

In the end, the criminal and a teenage girl were dead. Four other students – two of whom were cousins of the perpetrator – were injured. All victims were minors (younger than age 18).

Thanks to Megan Silberberger for preventing more carnage, and I’m grateful that she wasn’t shot herself. She easily could have been. If only someone else on the scene had been armed, he may have been stopped even faster.

Why do people think it’s sane to put children in an environment where only criminals are armed? It’s long past time to get rid of “gun free zones,” especially in our schools.

You are correct. She was moving towards him when he ate his muzzle.

    Source?

When I Google her name, several pages of news links tell the same story of her intervening and him shooting himself in the neck.

That's because people read a story like this and parrot it w/o confirming kind of like was done here until it becomes 'fact' on the internet because in most settings it's rarely questioned. Of all the shortcomings of Facebook this probably bothers me the most. Regularly little gems like this just start being shared and re-posted and before you know it everyone is buying it because not everyone has a friend like me that takes a few seconds to question these sort of things. I know most of you old curmudgeons don't like Facebook but it's what you make of it and is a great way to help get our message out to social media which is where we're taking a bath currently in the court of public opinion because few of us are on it to speak the truth. I digress. These stories usually start with something like 'Not sure why this isn't being talked about more' or 'Facebook won't let this story get out' or 'most of my friends won't share this story' so they're pretty easy to spot.

I have an open mind - no dog in the fight - just have not heard otherwise.
Just looking for a source that I can read myself.
