    Default 28 years and

We've never seen a porcupin, a live one that is. After 30 + minute of dogs barking in the neighborhood, our dogs want to go out. BARK BARK FUKIN BARK. Wife says there's a vehicle in the neighbors yard. Go investigate , find out what every dog is going crazy over. Seems neighbors dog jumped fence, had porcupine trapped under truck. Along with a snout and front paws full of needles. Dog is rescued All is quiet FINALLY.
28 years in this house , foxes rabbits, couple of nesting hawks &eagles. Not to mention skunks. Except for the two our last pups dismantled violating sovergin land. No more skunks, down side were two dogs soaked like they had been swimming. For 2 weeks they stunk, even after being shaved. Yep they taught those skunks a lesson. Just like neighbors dog showed that porcupine who's boss. OUCH

I used to have a pet wolf, he killed a porcupine. How? Reverse CPR!

Almost hit a mountain lion running (very fast!) across highway yesterday. First live sighting for me ever. Man what a beautiful animal!

Oh, that poor dog. I have had to pull cactus spines out of a dog before, must be similar.

Too bad you don't have a suppressed lever gun in .38. That would be a perfect problem solver.

Porcupine quills are quite a task to remove. Its a good idea to at least inspect and make sure none of the quills are headed in a direction that will put them in a dangerous part of the dog's head.

Depending on how you feel about it, a vet might be a good idea.
