Just wondering if anybody in Colorado Springs has dabbled (or more) in powder coating bullets. I'm thinking about giving it a shot.

I'm not in The Springs, but I've done it a couple times. Pretty easy, good results.

Thought I had seen you over on Castboolits. Quite a revolution in cast boolits going on over there. I'm thinking about giving it a try but I'm living in an apartment while I go to school so I have to keep
the process simple, small and clean for now. Still looks like it beats the heck out of traditional lubing.

Ya I seen rondog on their today for the first time. I am actually planning on buying the harbor freight set up and trying it myself soon.
I live in the springs and in a 1 bedroom apartment. Powdercoating boolits is an easy process. I setup on my patio. Use shake and bake method and bake in a toaster oven. Have done a couple thousand with no isses. I use 2 coats.

I also have the HF sprayer, it works far better than the shake n' bake. If you're able to set it up and use it that is. I got lucky, a buddy down the street replaced their kitchen range and I dragged it home. Already had 220 in the garage for my welder.

I'm looking pretty hard at the AirSoft BB method right now. Seems like a lot of guys are having pretty good results with it and any time I can stay away from acetone or mineral spirits that's a good thing to me.
I mentioned to tricav / travis when doing pc'ing. Maybe the use of a lazy susan helps during application. This allows the material being coated to move vs, you moving around it, a better coating might result using less powder. All the items i have done were medium, at the time we were able to set them up on a swivel, Spin n Spray.

Shake and Bake requires no solvents. Put powder in a plastic dish, like a butter tub,. Add boolets and cover. Shake for as few minutes and pour thru strainer to remove excess powder. Dump in a pan, put in oven. 15-20 minutes at 400* and they are done.
