Light a fire for a man, and he'll be warm for a day, light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life...
Discussion is an exchange of intelligence. Argument is an exchange of
ignorance. Ever found a liberal that you can have a discussion with?
The John Carpenter movie "In the Mouth of Madness" is still one of my favorites, and I think, an overlooked gem of good horror with a solid balance of monsters and psychological stuff.
That said, after playing through Silent Hill 2, most horror movies just aren't scary any more.
Guillermo Del Torro's The Orphanage is my favorite scary movie.
"There are no finger prints under water."
In no particular order:
Dracula-the original followed by the Gary Oldman version
The Wolfman-the original, though I did enjoy the effects in the remake with Benecio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins
The Lost Boys
The Howling
Alien-the first one
An American Werewolf in London (by the way the hot nurse was in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier")
Underworld-not scary but Kate Beckinsale-damn!!!
That's just off the top of my head for now.
