Now lets close the border with Mexico and shut down all trade with them while we're at it ... we need to acknowledge that Mexico is our enemy and has for the last decade or two been in a state of defacto war with us ... invading us with drug dealers and their own army (often the same people) and engaging in economic warfare by encouraging its citizens (and the citizens of its southern neighbors) to illegal migrate to the US, steal jobs and mail some of the money back home.

    Fuck Mexico.

Where is Obama? Shouldn't he be claiming that he personally charged in and freed him?

Dammit, I couldn't agree more! I posted about this last night, and said I will continue to denounce, decry, and boycott Mexico. I still think 8 months was way too long for this young SGT, especially with some trumped up BS charges. If it were me in charge, he wouldn't have been there a day longer than a month.

    Wait for the court marshal.
What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?

Great, finally the Sgt. is released and he can hopefully get back to a normal life. Now we'll probably hear of some Democrap starting some proceedings about this chap should not be able to posses firearms since, although he was acquitted, he WAS charged with firearms violations. Don't be too surprised if this does materialize even though the charges were made in a foreign Country.

He hasn't been on active duty for 2 years. What makes him so special compared to the other vets locked up in foreign countries?
I'm not saying should have stayed there or that he should our shouldn't be off the hook for whatever it is he did, just curious about all the publicity.
If I or one of you prior service guys went to Mexico... or Brazil, or Thailand, or South Africa or anywhere else... and did something dumb and got thrown in prison I don't see it becoming a nationally known event.

Nothing in Mexico that I can't find in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. At least in some of those states, Sgt. Tahmooressi could have legally possessed a weapon.

I would like to know how many Mexican citizens crossed into the USA with no intention of returning to Mexico during Sgt. Tahmooressi's stay in jail. Perhaps the Obama Administration could have arranged an exchange ala Sgt. Bergdahl
