Squib Load

I have a "candid" question ("candid" are one step removed from "dumb" questions): what is the best way to remove a stuck round like this one?

Usually, the bullet's stuck closer to breech/chamber than the muzzle, so removing it from the muzzle end, tapping towards the chamber is the way to go. Be sure to protect the muzzle, etc.

Any company that loads millions of rounds is statistically bound to load a squib.

Machines are good, but they aren't perfect.

I also would be interested to hear what Freedom's response is to your squib.

If I had a squib out of a 1978 spam can of surplus Ukrainian 7.62x54R, do I get a free night with Olga?

I've had one squib load in my life. The round was a remanufactured 9mm from a vendor I'd rather not specify as most of their ammo has been great. Luckily, I noticed I had a click but no real recoil as I was shooting so I stopped, unloaded and checked the barrel. Would have been nasty if I'd been firing in fast repetitions but it was easily rectified and the vendor gave me a box of 50 for my troubles when I reported it.

I have shot thousands of rounds of their ammo, as have several members of my church safety team with whom I shoot 2-3x times per month... never a squib yet, but I too would be interested in knowing what FM says about it, if they're contacted.

I really like FM, as they support ALOT of 3 gun matches all over. I would like to offer an experience I had with there ammo. Just before the 2014 Noveske 3 gun championship, Myself and another RO went to the 100yd berm to check our zeros. He was having some trouble getting his shots on paper so I offered to spot for him. Once he was actually on paper, the "groups" were 7-8 inches. I didn't know what his experience level was, so I though maybe it was just him or a mounting issue with his optic. We checked the mount(it was tight), and I sent 5 shots down from his rifle... same thing 7-8in groups. At this point it was either the optic was jacked up and not holding a zero or his ammo. I gave him some of my reloads to try(55gr FMJ, 25gr varget) and he shot a 1.5in group. The ammo he was using was from freedom munitions, I believe it was there blaster ammo. I understand the blaster ammo is for "training or practice" but 8in groups are a littler ridiculous.

Only had one and it was my fault, .30 carbine round with no powder. Just touching the rifling, but what a bitch to find something to clear it out with(it was late and I wanted it out).
