    Default Junk Yard help

Hey guys, been looking for a few weeks at the standard junk yards and craigslist but kind of striking out. I have a 2000 Silverado, 6.0L that needs exhaust. 4 wheeling and destroyed the pipes, ended up cutting them off and now Im getting ready to have the thing go through emissions and it wont pass like it is now.

it's got dual exhaust now, but really all I need is something to make it pass. I really need something that is routed properly so I don't have to mess with it to much on the install.

maybe somebody knows a guy parting out? have a good secret junk yard? pull and save, and Colorado auto parts have nothing. craigslist has some 4.3 systems, and some other stuff that might* work. suburban, sierra, Yukon etc could all potentially be useable. what other information would be useful? any help would be appreciated!

You need to post your wheel base for a good cross reference

Your best bet would go to a muffler shop and get a new exhaust system. As you found out, trying to find a used exhaust system for a 14 year old truck that is in passable condition is next to impossible.
Try House of Mufflers, they are at Evans Ave. & Dahlia St. Just east of I-25 on Evans Ave. for good pricing and very good work.
My T.P. wheeling and dealing feedback is here.

Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one, and it stinks more than mine.

I can vouch for "House of Mufflers" they did mine after the first place I went to screwed it up spectacularly. Good guys, good price and most of all know, they what they are doing. You might also use some Seafoam before you go for your emmissions check. That has done wonders for many of our vehicles.

I hate to say but buying a cheapie from one only places is best bet then you know the cat is good won't have to question it when you go to test.
