Neither of us are into physical stuff like hiking - if we can't drive to it & it 's more than, say, a mall, we won't walk it.
We'll be back home in COS long before night time (pub activities) begin.
Other than maybe Loveland & Greeley, we'll be sticking close to the I-25 corridor - no Estes this trip.
No overnight stays as we have a 19yo cat that needs a special diet & my wife won't trust feeding her to anyone.(A full day/evening outing will be pushing it)

Stu - Jax might be doable for a very quick walk through.

Guylee/Cableguy11 - See above about wife & beer. It's a shame too, New Belgium made my favorite bottles when I used to homebrew.

Tan - thanks for the links. A museum may be something she'd be interested in.

Bryjcom - Jensens, maybe. Thanks. "Google it on my phone". That's cute. Apparently you haven't heard the (true) rumors about how theGinsue is too cheap to pay for a data plan & won't get a smartphone.

Great Kazoo - Meet up's are problematic as she gets pissed when I do meet-ups on our trips. The last time I did a meet-up on one of her & my trips was with Stu in Blackhawk. I heard about it from her for weeks.

    Thanks folks.

Hit ft fun on a Sat morn do brunch somewhere, home by 6. I'd suggest you check Denver sports team schedule. Being on 25 during a sporting event or concert. Might as well grab a burger in castle rock.
    Same for CSU.

This is true, and I'm sure it was only weeks of good things you had to hear about.

...though I have to say that joke was a lot more funny when I was closer to 20 than 50.

Hrm, not into the microbreweries? Well, that cuts down on the list a lot :P (Was going to say, if you were going to do New Belgian tour, I think these days you have to get a reservation in advance, it's pretty darn popular) (or go to a different place, which are also cool and no need for reservations!).

The original Jax is in Fort Collins, just north of Old Town (on College Ave). They improved it a bunch since it was the dingy milsup place years ago.

The CSU campus is kind of pretty, particularly the Oval with its giant oak trees.

The Swetsville Zoo is really neat. Haven't been there in a while, but basically the guy makes animals, dinosaurs, etc out of old scrap metal. http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/10787

I will second the Discovery Center (or Museum of Discovery, whatever their name is these days). It's pretty slick. I've not toured their new place, but what I have seen from the entrance is cool. Their imax theater is also pretty snazzy.

And then, yeah, Old Town has some neat shops (I always enjoyed Nature's Own back in the day, just off of The Square).

Too bad you're doing it now, during the summer the trolley runs from City Park down Mountain, and it's a neat bit of history (they did a bang-up job refurbishing the old trolley).

If you like Vietnamese food. Young's Cafe is the best Asian food I've had. Very reasonable prices.

There is no good asian food in NoCo, especially ft fun. 2x was it for me, when the rest room had no soap or paper towels.

Discovery Museum and Old Town. Plenty of places to eat in Old Town, Moe's BBQ and Stuft Burgers are my favorites. Big Al's Burgers and Dogs is also good, they have a 60/40 burger, 60% beef 40% bacon. There is also a Beau Jo's Pizza. Take a drive up and around Horsetooth or up the Poudre Canyon to see the fire damage.
