So the good news is this guys in the House, which is Dem controlled so it's unlikely he'll be able to pass anything too crazy. This is always the risk you take, when you have to vote to defend something more important (gun control) you may sacrifice something you value just a little less, but that you still hate to sacrifice. However, I don't fundamentally believe that a Repub majority will push us into a gay bashing, personhood loving crazy society, because at the end of the day, the most die hard Repub has to wonder what he'd do if his own daughter got pregnant in some horrible, non-consensual way, or how he'd treat his own gay son. I do know from experience though, that Dems have very little issue destroying the basic human rights of themselves and everyone else in the state, so I have to oppose that.
