Powder coating in the Springs

Shake and Bake requires no solvents. Put powder in a plastic dish, like a butter tub,. Add boolets and cover. Shake for as few minutes and pour thru strainer to remove excess powder. Dump in a pan, put in oven. 15-20 minutes at 400* and they are done.

Solvents? Acetone? Mineral spirits? What's all that for? I just put raw lead bullets on an old cookie sheet covered with Reynolds non-stick alum. foil and sprayed them, then baked. Maybe if they'd been lubed before - but boiling them in water in an old saucepan should clean that off.

There are several methods, one of which involves putting the powder in a bowel with some amount of mineral spirits or acetone and "tumbling" (shaking) them until they are coated and then letting the liquid flash off before baking.
