INSANE: Ferguson “Activists” Deliver Pre-Riot Demands To Police

Was discussing this with a coworker last night. He is VERY passionate about it, and a bit of a socialist. The corporations are to blame (he works for one), the system is biased against minorities, I am a benefactor of white privilege and will never understand. The demands aren't out of line as there is a need to blow off steam without a heavy handed response by authorities provoking further reaction from a sensitive populace who is trapped in poverty with no way out because the system, corporations, white power etc.



Nevermind the fact that the shooting may have been justified. This is the straw that broke the camels back, even if it's not a straw.

For what it's worth, there is a fantastic podcast from Dan Carlin's Common Sense series about this whole mess. It actually gave me a lot to think about and a new perspective on the whole situation. I believe the title is something like "even if it saves just one". For those here who can't possibly see why someone would believe what they do, it may be worth a listen.
Also, by way of disclaimer, this is not some touchy hippy stuff, Dan Carlin is brilliant and also very much a libertarian.

I listened to better than half of this before I had to leave for work. While I agree with some of the militarization and pointing guns at innocents stuff, I disagree with some of his theory on built up anger. When people are breaking into businesses and stealing things this theory goes right out the window for me.

All in all, it was a good listen and I plan on listening to more of his podcast's. Thanks for the tip!
