Default Adjustable stocks ? Does anyone adjust them ?

18 years without body armour last issued weapon was a M16A2. I shoot a little rifle at Pueblo, and don't plant on 3Gun.
Building another AR, curious for other none military shooters of AR carbines. How often do you adjust the stocks?, during a match? while traveling? for storage?
Since I have more fun shooting rifle games. This rifle will replace a 20 inch barreled shotgun and I have never felt it was to long for home use.

I set mine where I want and then I don't mess with it.

There are several reasons I prefer to run the adjustable ones though. I like the fact that if I ever needed to adjust it I have that option. Also, I haven't found a fixed stock that gives me the length of pull that I like. And, I run one just because I can. If you dabbled much in semi-auto rifles during the ban years you kind of appreciate the features you'll likely never use but at least now you can have them again. I've never used a bayonet lug but have them on just about all of my rifles.

We adjust them alot. Particularly if a group at the range. Grandkids, wife, daughter all like different setup.

GENERALLY, I don't adjust them, but just enough, for various reasons, to need them. The only AR I had that had a fixed stock was a RRA National Match. It didn't need to be adjusted, it was only used for one thing. And I always wore a sweatshirt and shooting coat when shooting it.

I adjust mine all the way in for transportation and storage, then just pull them back out for shooting.

also, Mrs. Belly is a tiny little petite thing, so having it adjusted for her is very easy.

I like the adjustable stock for:

    Storage
    My daughter shoots it sometimes
When it is cold and I wear a heavier jacket
When shooting from a bench rest
Easier to handle indoors when moving through the house

I like the sound it makes. Not as satisfying as chambering a round or racking a shotgun though.
