I used to have fun driving the bosses GEO and Festiva when I was a courier. They worked out well in the snow. A bald tire with a bit of steel belt showing was ok on ice.

If you don't think marijuana causes brain damage, you should ride with me for a couple of days. I have averaged about 200 miles a day in and around Denver for my job over the last 20 years. The snow just exacerbates a problem I have seen building for a while now. I'm looking for a real good quality dash camera. I'm going to sell these videos to fund my retirement.

Driving my RWD Charger I have to always remember to disable the damn traction control in the snow, else I don't go anywhere and actually makes the car dangerous to drive ...though this year I'm getting damned snow tires

I realize our winters are pretty mild compared to some places, but I just don't understand RWD (especially powerful) cars in Colorado, if it's your only car. To each there own I guess.

With that said, the E locker in two wheel drive makes my truck pretty fun when the conditions are right.

I used to have front and rear lunchboxes in my WJ. I couldn't get stuck or lose control in that thing if I tried. We took a trip to Pickle Gulch and ran the rock climbs while they were coated with ice and snow no sweat. I'm in the back in this picture.

Nice! I've only ever had rear lockers, I can hardly get stuck as is, I can only imagine F/R. I'd like to do a front selectable at some point.

This is a software problem not a hardware one. I guarantee you I could make it around in a RWD pickup with a 500+HP motor, 4 speed and street tires better than your average Texicanifornia transplant in a Subaru Forester because I was trained as a teenager how to drive on ice and snow.

Gotta back Hurley on this one. He's not suggesting that you (or he) can't get around in a RWD, but rather that it doesn't make sense to not give yourself better hardware. A soldier was trained how to shoot, and he could use a Nagant to outshoot a paper pusher with an AR. But that's not a reason for the soldier to not get an AR of his own.
