Hey now there's an idea! Bond arms for my CCW, TC for my "service" sized pistol, and an H&R handi rifle for my long gun!

Why would you need an H&R? Just put a rifle barrel on your contender.

Every time I am in St George, UT, I mean to stop into this shop: http://matchgrademachine.com/home.php

TC has been on my list for a while, but just hasn't gotten high enough for me to actually pick one up.

    Thanks for reminding me.

Apparently I'm not very familiar with the versatility of the contender lol. I've only ever fired one pistol in 243.

I actually used to own a Contender. I had barrels in 30 Herrett, 22LR Match, 7mm TCU, 22 K Hornet, and 357 Magnum.

I guess to stay clear of the Byzantine regulations of the BATFE you would actually need to have a pistol frame Contender and a rifle frame Contender so you don't get sideways in swapping your pistol into a rifle, therefore permanently making it a rifle.

Makes as much sense as a $5 AOW tax for a Serbu Shotty.

Sorry Ray, I mistook the post. I still like cats but wouldn't fight BP for the Friskies

Not since 2011. The ruling by the atf was from a challenge by a TC owner. Not that it matters, A pistol can be changed in to a rifle configuration, then back to pistol. A rifle (long gun) however may not without it being SBR'd.
I took my draco, side folder and 5.5" f/hider (pinned / welded) installed to meet ATF guidelines.

So I should be able to convert my AR pistol into a rifle and then back into an AR pistol?

How about all of the Glock carbine conversions?

Is there any possible way the federal government could make something even more convoluted? Besides Obamacare that is.

Why not? I'm going to get one of those MEC CCU ? glock conversions, do a dedicated 9 SBR, OR just use a brace till i decide. What's one more stamp?
